Hello and welcome to our Year 3 class page on our school website. 

Here you will find important information about the things we get up to in Year 3. This page will give you insight into what we are learning and doing in class. We use it to share our learning and all the fun things we get up to. 

Check back regularly to see our Year 3 lessons and activities. 

 

Home learning in Year 3

We ask parents to hear their children read at least 4 times a week, as we see the best progress in those children who read regularly at home with an adult. If your child is on the Oxford Reading Buddy system, you'll need to log on to read online and then record this in their reading diary. If your child is still on the RWI reading scheme, then they will bring home a physical for them to read and record. 

Times table Rockstars (TTRS) is set weekly and the children will need to log on and complete their set tasks. In Term 1, we have set a minimum of 10 minutes play time - this is to help them improve their fluency. If they wish to play for longer this is great! 

Every week your child will be set either Math.co.uk or SPaG.com for them to complete. This is a short task to consolidate their classroom learning.
